Mark Okraku Mantey, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, has urged the newly elected MUSIGA executives with learning to accept one another and working together for the union’s progress. He stated that being unified was insufficient to achieve progressive leadership unless they learned to accept one other in order to facilitate their task.
“There are people who can be united but cannot tolerate each other and work together but I charge this new elected MUSIGA executives to learn to tolerate and work together if they want to move forward,” he went on to say. He stated that the new leaders will have a lot of work to do given the union’s multiple issues, especially before the election of its new executives.He was hopeful, however, that with a determined attitude, the new leadership might improve MUSIGA’s fortunes.
Mr Okraku Mantey also expressed his complete support for the new executives, saying that the Ministry has designated an office for MUSIGA-related concerns.The Deputy Minister, who is also the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary candidate for Ayensuano, advised artists to value their profession since it is financially profitable.
